Editorial policy
How we research, calculate, write and correct everything on NutriCalc Hub.
Sources
Menu nutrition comes from the restaurant's own published information, recorded with the market and date. Home-recipe nutrition is calculated from USDA FoodData Central reference values for the exact ingredients. Health guidance cites primary sources such as the US Food and Drug Administration.
No invented numbers
If a value isn't published and can't be calculated with a documented method, we show it as unavailable. Estimates are always labelled as estimates, and the method is on our methodology page.
Writing
Guides are written to answer a real question in plain English. Tables in guides are generated from the same data as the calculators, so they can't disagree. We don't publish pages just to target keyword variations.
Recipes
Recipes are our own. They're written to be made at home with common equipment, and their nutrition updates automatically if an ingredient amount changes.
Independence and advertising
Advertisers and partners have no say over our numbers or conclusions. Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labelled. See Work with us.
Corrections
Found an error? Contact us with the page and the official source. We check reports, fix confirmed errors, and record data changes in the update log on the methodology page.
